Thank you to everyone who sent their thoughts and prayers following my last post. The outpouring of messages from loved ones back home and even travelers who I only spent a few days, or even hours with, has provided me some comfort while being away from home.I’ve tried to sort out my insurance, but unfortunately it doesn’t seem like I’ll be able to make it back for the funeral so writing is giving me some solace when I'm far from home.

HELLO FROM CROATIA! Sorry i haven’t posted any pics and such, but my mom is still here which means I'm still on daughter duty! Since it's been exactly 3 months since I've left New York and because WiFi hasn't been so great in the places I've been staying, I thought it would be good to do a text only post and impart my travel wisdom on the masses. Hi everyone!!! I’m finally catching up after attending to some of my daughterly/touristy duties.. it’s been an exhausting few days, as you can see from the massive amount of text and photos from below (This is what happens when you have an Asian mom who wants to document things.. no we don't have a selfie stick!) but it’s been great being with my mom (my bank account and belly certainly agree!!) We’ve been working our way thru Prague and Budapest, and now we’re heading to Croatia for some fun in the sun :) One thing to note about my mom, she’s a backpacker at heart (she did Amsterdam and Luxembourg after she graduated college many moons ago, along with Greece a little later!) but obviously she’s not as young as she used to be, so while we’re attempting to take the cheap, fun way aka public transport and night trains… she obviously has the money to spend so we’ve done some taxis and fancy dinners too :)

That means hello from Poland!! I’m currently hanging out in Zakopane, which is a cute little village right by the beautiful Tatra Mountains. The weather hasn't been great (as per usual) but I'm staying at this great hostel, Goodbye Lenin, which is super cozy and filled with the nicest people.. we've been hiking.... in the fog... to see some spectacular views... of more fog.... singing disney songs, dancing, cooking... it feels like I rented a cabin in the mountain with some good friends :) it's a nice reprieve after spending the past 5 days in Krakow, which was amazing, but exhausting.
